Taking action to reduce damages goes a long way toward minimizing the physical, psychological and financial impact of disasters, but that's only part of the journey to disaster resistance and resiliency. The other part is to tell the story of Safeguard Iowa Partnership - what it is, how it works and why it makes a difference. In doing so, we can:

- Developed Safeguard Iowa Partnership outreach communication materials, including a newly designed Web site, brochure, twitter account and recruitment packet.
- Developed messages for partners to use in organizational newsletters to increase awareness of benefits and accomplishments of Safeguard Iowa Partnership.
- Promoted Safeguard Iowa Partnership events and activities to member of the news media, elected officials and key stakeholders.
